Review- My Bucket List trip to the Azores

Thanks for stopping by..

If you follow me, you’ll know I’ve been going on about my Bucket List.

When I was 30 I made a bucket list, it’s got around 300 challenges on it and I’ve completed around 190 things.

One of those things was to visit the Azores. I heard about the place from a guy I was in the Royal Navy with. I overheard him talking that he’d done a deployment that took him to the Azores on the way.

I’d been curious about that place ever since.  This is where it is:

We stayed at the Pedros Do Mar Resort and Spa hotel in March this year and we pretty much had it all to ourselves.

Here’s my video of the hotel and our trip:

We went for 5 nights and in total it cost around £400 each including flights and it was well worth it, really magical place, locals really friendly, the hotel staff couldn’t do enough for us.

If I didn’t have a Bucket List where I still want to travel to lots of places, I would definitely come back here again and I would have the Sea View again. The bed was the most comfiest bed ever! The room still smells new and was spotlessly clean. It’s more of a place for couples, friends and families not really for young kids I’d say.

There is a lovely coastal walk, a tennis court, outdoor infinity pool etc.

I would also recommend going on at least a half day trip round the island (in the video)

These views are nothing short of magical.

Thanks a lot,

Take care,
