It was on my Bucket List to travel around Europe to the places I haven’t already visited when I was in the Royal Navy, travelled when I was younger or other trips I had done since undertaking this crazy Bucket List…
I saw a trip that visited 7 countries in 11 days! That’s right up my street as I tend to get bored easily.
I got back Friday … And still recovering from exhaustion!- no joke!
But what a trip!
We visited Germany, Austria, Poland, Hungary, Slovakia, Czech Repubic and Slovenia.
We visited a couple of places within the country.
My favourite places are Vienna,Austria. Felt very alive and creative there. Also Lake Bled in Slovenia is absolutely stunning, so I recommend this for a weekend getaway, you WONT be disappointed! I also loved Prague and Krakow, Poland.
A place I have wanted to visit for a long time and got to visit was Auchwits. My god, what a horrendous place for obvious reasons. I recommend people visit, in fact I hope people visit, so we all understand the gravity of this kind of place. I bought a book on one of it’s survivors called The Lucky Child and read it within 2 days and it broke my heart….
We travelled by coach and the days were long (15-17 hours!) but I met some amazing people who I have kept in contact with and tried some amazing authentic food…
Just catching up on sleep now, but now I’m looking to next year to save up for another bucket List trip.
But which one?
Options are: Trans Siberian Express (Russia, Mongolia and China)
American East to west trip (Las Vegas to New York via Washington, Montana etc)
Australia, Fiji ?
Hmmmm.. Doing some research today, your suggestions are Very Welcome!
